Just Jawing

My daughter asked me to put together a card for her friends birthday tomorrow. Here is what I came up with. I used the Just Jawing stamp set with basic black, pink passion and kraft card stock along with some silver embossing powder. I think looks super cute! Wouldn't you agree?

New Announcements

Here are just a few announcements Stampin Up has put out that I would like to share with you.
First of all starting July 2009 we will be going back to the annual catalog. The decor elements will continue to be separate from the catalog and come out twice a year.
The mini catalog promotion will change to include 3 mini catalogs a year with each lasting 4 months. Also in these mini catalog there will be a small selection of hostess sets giving you more choices.
One last thing, double mounted stamps. Stampin Up began double mounting stamps that were in large sets to help lower the cost. After many complaints they have decided to change that policy. However this will not apply to some of the alphabet sets and sets that are a part of a kit. For the time being the stamp sets already in the current catalog will continue to be in double mount along with one set in the upcoming Occasions mini but they will not introduce any new nonalphabet, nonkit sets as double mounted.

Swap cards

Here are the cards that we swapped at the Feb. 7th workshop. Aren't they fabulous???? This was a lot of fun and I plan to hold another card swap next month. It felt so good to finally get back into the swing of things!! Thank you to all who came to this months workshop. It's always so fun getting together.
Everybody who participated in this months swap did a FANTABULOUS job on their swaps. I am planning to do it again next month so let me know if you would like to take part. You'll be sorry if you don't join I can promise!!!!! I will post what you missed this month once I get permission to post their work.

So here are the projects we did for this February workshop. Some are of my own making and some are cased.

This first card was made using the level 3 hostess set called Dream A Little. The DSP used on it is from the Raspberry Tart collection. Pretty Pretty Paper!

This card was made using the Happy Heart Day stampset.

A Happy Heart stamp set was used to create this card along with the Bella Rose DSP. (love this paper!!)


And this really cute tea light with matches package was stamped with the Love You Much stampset with the Bella Rose DSP.
